Under the direction of Dr. Marsha Torr, who served as PI through instrument delivery, the Ultraviolet Imager was successfully conceived, designed, developed and tested. Dr. Douglas Torr played a key role in the success of the UVI through the efforts of the UVI team he headed at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Dr. George Parks of the Geophysics Department at the University of Washington is the UVI Principal Investigator.
